I bought Joyce in Germany on the 5th of july 2007. I first saw her on the 1st of july, it was love at first sight.

Joyce is laid back and confident and very loving. She always comes to the gate when I go to the pasture. She loves to be petted and if you walk around on the pasture checking the fence, she will follow like a dog all the way around. Sometimes she's a bit too disrespectful, but I think that's more to do with me, and I'm getting help to make this better. 

As of summer 2008 Joyce is boarded with Downunder Stables, Bad Zwischenahn. I started a new education and because of the homework and long days, I don't have time to take care of Joyce. She will come home fall or winter 2010 when I'm done, and I'm looking very much forward to some nice trail and endurance riding!

In 2008/2009 Joyce got used to saddle, bridle and a rider. She's getting easier now that she gets to use some of her energy and now that she's found a good place to live. Where she was before she was chased by an older mare. Joyce is of the intelligent type, and gets bored relatively easy if she doesn't get something to do. Luckily it seems she's finding her place, and is getting happier, and so am I, now I see how happy she gets.

I hope that we can have a lot of fun trailriding and maybe competing in endurance riding.
